| God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God's saving grace to end our alienation from Him. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, fully God and fully man, born of the virgin, crucified, died, buried, and resurrected. Salvation comes only through faith in Him and the atoning power of His shed blood, and must be received personally. We believe the Scriptures to be the inspired and literal Word of God, without error. We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, Who is eternally coexistent in the Three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church. The church's role is to glorify God and serve those in need. We believe sanctification is an ongoing process in the life of the believer and that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to every believer today. We further believe that all the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit are operational in and for the building of the church today. We believe in the imminent bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the bodily resurrection of the dead, with eternal rewards for the faithful believer and eternal judgment for the lost. |
