CCM consists of people from all walks of life and from every imaginable background, who have one primary thing in common: they want to explore and experience all that God wants to make available to them. BUT, they want to do it in an ENVIRONMENT and ATMOSPHERE where . . .
· A passion for Christ is modeled, instead of the ho-hum-ness of religion
· Where prejudice is unacceptable and diversity is celebrated
· A yearning for progress is seen, instead of a contentment for ‘sameness’
· An authentic life is encouraged, instead of a well-disguised imitation
· Encouragement and grace are given, instead of condemnation
· All people admit they are in need, instead of pretending they’ve got it all together
· Heart empowerment is provided, instead of primarily head instruction
· Life change expectation exists, instead of ‘little change’ attitudes
Our strategy revolves around creating environments. We cannot make anyone begin or maintain a growing relationship with Christ. But, we can help create environments that are conducive to the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of people. So we focus our resources on creating compelling and relevant environments.
The primary focus of our strategy is:
To create environments that are conducive for the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of people
To train leaders to work in those environments
To involve people in those environments
1. The Living Room
The Living Room environment is designed for ‘family members’ to invite ‘guests’ into, so that they can experience and be introduced to the life of Christ, in such a way that would make it appealing to consider being a part of the family. Our weekend worship services (along with the children’s ministries) act as a Living Room environment. These services are designed to meet the needs that are common to both ‘guests’ as well as ‘family members.’ ‘Family members’ are encouraged to ‘invest and invite.’ You invest in the life of an unbeliever and when they are ready, you invite them to a living room environment where they can observe the life of Christ which is demonstrated and communicated in relevant and compelling ways.
2. The Family Room
The Family Room environment is designed to make participants feel like family. These are our small groups, also known as Life Groups. We believe that life-change happens best in the context of community, so our groups are designed to foster that. Life Groups devote their meeting time to sharing about their lives, building relationships, Bible study and prayer.
