CCM has been in partnership with the schools and churches in Haiti since 1991. Crossroads own partners have helped the Haitian people build churches and schools, sponsor the children, and pay teacher's salaries. Pastor Jean Carlo Thomas, founder of New World Missions, has been called by God not only as a pastor involved with many churches on the island of Haiti, but also as administrator of local schools in Balix, Meyer, Roche a Bateau, Cog Chante and St. Louis, Haiti. At New World Mission there is a consciousness of the responsibility of assuring a better future for the nation’s children, even though as yet it remains unaccomplished. The desire of New World Mission is to give every child the opportunity to receive an education by: |
| † providing a comfortable place for the kids to learn † providing a nourishing lunch; which may be the only meal of the day for many students † providing all necessary school materials † assisting the children with books and uniforms |
